Privacy Policy
In short: Elpis Care has no accounts. Your medicines, profile, allergies and measurements are stored only on your phone and are not sent to anyone, including us, on their own. A report goes to the centre you choose only when you tap “send”, without your name. There are no ads, cookies or tracking tools in the app or on this site.
1. Data controller

If you use Elpis Care through a healthcare provider (a transplant or dialysis centre) and send your reports to it, that provider is the controller of the reports it receives.
2. Information stored on your phone
- Name (only to address you in the spoken alarm), year of birth, sex, height, weight, city and country
- Treatment details: transplant or dialysis type, transplant date, donor type, dialysis prescription, pregnancy status
- Allergies, medicines, doses, times and “taken / skipped” records
- An emergency contact's name and phone (shown only on the emergency card)
- If you allow it, steps, blood pressure and pulse read from Health Connect (Android) or Apple Health
This is health data, a special category of personal data. Deleting the app deletes all of it from your phone.
3. Information that leaves your phone — only when you choose

The privacy terms of WhatsApp, your e-mail or sharing app apply to these transfers. Elpis does not see their content.
4. Camera, prescriptions and barcodes
Centre QR codes, medicine barcodes and photos of prescriptions or dialysis orders are read on the phone. Photos are never uploaded to any server.
5. App updates
The app downloads text and rule updates from servers of Expo (650 Industries, USA). Only technical information such as the app version, operating system and IP address is transmitted; your health information is not sent.
6. Purposes and legal bases
- Reminders, emergency card, medicine information and doctor form: providing the service; the data stays on your phone (your explicit consent).
- Sending reports to your centre: your explicit consent and your action of sending.
- Scientific research: only if you agreed to take part in an ethics-approved study, with pseudonymised data.
- When you e-mail us: answering your request (legitimate interest).
7. International transfers
Elpis has no server holding patient data. Only technical information is sent to Expo servers in the USA for app updates. If a server holding patient data is used in the future, this policy will be updated beforehand and your separate consent will be asked.
8. Retention
Information on your phone is kept until you delete it or the app. E-mails you send us are kept for 2 years.
9. Your rights
You may ask whether your personal data is processed, request information, correction or deletion, learn to whom it was transferred, object, and claim compensation for damage (Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698, Article 11). Write to info@elpis.care or the postal address above; we reply within 30 days.
10. Children
Patients under 18 should use the app together with a parent or guardian.
11. Website
elpis.care uses no cookies, analytics or advertising tools. Fonts are served from the site itself. The hosting provider may keep access logs (IP address, time) briefly for security.
12. Changes
If this policy changes, the current version is published on this page with a new effective date.
